Our 59&Bluebell Story

“When thinking of the name for 59&Bluebell, I wanted it to be something special. So much of the planning I do comes from my heart and I wanted a name that reflects that.  My mom and my grandmother have given me the world, so I wanted to name a piece of my world after them.

1959 is the year my mom was born.  With my dad being a basketball coach, my mom always organized his big tournaments. I can remember her receiving the most pleasant feedback and the smile it always gave her. I am constantly chatting through ideas and processes with her.

Bluebell is the street on which my grandmother lives. I skinned my knees on Grandma’s driveway as a child a countless number of times, and to this day I find myself walking up the same driveway to her craft room working on a project like table numbers or décor of sorts.  They’re both such strong women, and I truly believe I wouldn’t be where I am today without both of them.” – Katie

“Something about planning such a perfect, important day for two people to celebrate with their families and friends, and being able to alleviate their stresses is so rewarding.”

Katie Arbogast Stubbs, Executive Planner

Katie Arbogast Stubbs is the owner and executive planner of 59&Bluebell. Katie’s creativity and ability to think on her feet gives her a special skill to organize and execute flawless events. While focusing on trust and honesty throughout the planning process, Katie makes it her number one priority to listen to her clients and make their vision come to life. These core values create meaningful client connections and stress-free celebrations. Katie appreciates what an honor it is to be involved in these important milestones in her clients’ lives, and finds deep reward in ensuring that the couple, host, family, friends, and guests experience an unforgettable and enjoyable event.

Katie found her passion for wedding and event planning began at a young age and it became her career goal throughout her schooling. Her professional background in hospitality began at Walt Disney World as a “Dream Maker” where she was inspired to take her career to the next level. The extravagant floral and decor at Disney motivated her to bring that same level of detail to each event she coordinates. Katie also worked at the world famous Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach where she received first-hand experience in all front-of-house operations. As event planning, specifically weddings, requires vast knowledge of all hospitality procedures, Katie wanted to fully comprehend the ins and outs of the industry to better guide her clients. From a personal perspective, Katie is known as the “27 Dresses” of her friends, and being a life-long bridesmaid gives her insight from all aspects of the wedding process.

Katie lives in West Palm Beach, Florida with her husband, Brett, and their four-legged family, Coal, Olivia, and the horse- dog named Groot. She and Brett love staying busy, nights out exploring different restaurants, spending time with friends, and fun game nights. Katie’s family means everything, and she feels fortunate to live so close to both her and Brett’s families.
